Remember: When You Work at Home for Free, Your Business Plan Doesn’t Stop Once You Launch Your New Biz...

You've chosen to work at home for free, and isn't it grand? An Internet home-based business can give you that kind of freedom. But you're not done yet ...

Are you thinking that now you've launched your internet home based business it's time to sit back and relax and let your website do its work selling your product? Please don't. In fact, though you may not want to hear this, your work at home for free job has just begun. It is difficult to maintain an Internet home-based business (or income) with only one product. You are going to need to keep developing (or reselling) additional products over the months or years to come if you want to continue to build your small home business by generating new customer leads and keeping your old customers.

You Need To Sell Backend Products

When you sell additional products or services to your existing customers, these are called "backend" products. Some possible backend products for your Internet home-based business (that still allow you to work at home for free) might be:

• Subscription e-zine



• An e-book on a related subject (if your first product was an e-book)



• Other types of info-products, e.g., teleseminars, audio/videotaped seminars



• Selling ad space in your successful free or subscription e-zine



• Offering consulting services and/or lecture services on your specialty area

Really, the ideas for growing your small home business are limited only by your imagination. The ones listed above are just to get you thinking. If you brainstorm, you should be able to come up with a lot of ideas of your own that will allow you to work at home for free.

I really believe one of the easiest and most lucrative ways to make money on the web is through selling info-products. I can't recommend highly enough the great manual, Make Your Knowledge Sell!, by Monique Harris and Ken Evoy of SiteSELL. It is just unbelievable how much information Monique and Ken pack into this manual. They take you through every imaginable step of creating and selling info-products. There is no way you can't succeed if you follow their advice.

Other Ways to Bring Home the Bacon

Besides offering new and backend products, there are other ways you can enhance your income as well when you work at home for free:

• Joint venture with another entrepreneur to sell a bundled product or each other's products



• Become an affiliate/associate for products you love and sell them at your site (if they blend well with your content)



• Develop your own associate program and sign people up to help sell your product at their websites



• Sell classified ad space at your website

Again, there are lots of ideas out there, if you spend some time brainstorming. But the single product that has helped me the most is:
